I’m a big smoked salt connoisseur from childhood. Invariably back in my day, (boomer) that meant “Hickory” from McCormick or Spice Islands.
A festival in Ligoniere one fall weekend back in the teens changed all that when I encountered SCSC’s booth! [Some of the Cherrywood pictured on my table the Mesquite is still wrapped in my cabinet!]
EVERY variety of SCSC’s Smoked Salts is a delight! Mesquite is probably the smoothest as one would expect if they backyard BBQ . Mesquite in that cooking is hearty but not to pronounced at least to my palate and compared to SCSC’s other varieties which each have a Zesty Zing to them. Rest assured, ALL are magnificent. Buy some, you’ll taste and see.

This pepper is amazing. It adds a subtle smokey flavor to everything! I find myself choosing it over the Telicherry in the grinder for chicken, beef, and fish.

I also highly recommend the malted salt and the dill pickle salt. The later takes potato salad to a while new level!
