Shipping Policy
At this time, Steel City Salt Company ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. Additionally, Steel City Salt Company ships merchandise to Canada, Mexico, and other international locations for a separate shipping fee, this fee does not include VAT, duties, imports, or taxes. International orders are not eligible for free shipping. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered online pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.
Free Shipping:
We have a very low free shipping threshold of $52 for all Domestic orders. Under that amount we offer highly discounted flat-rate shipping cost of $6.95 (much lower than the actual cost for us to ship).
With the HUGE increase in shipping costs across the board, we have maintained the lowest possible prices for shipping charges and our product prices haven’t been raised in 8 years
Shipping Processing times:
From start to finish your order is processed, filled, and shipped by human beings! For the highest quality and freshness, all of our products are hand-poured and filled to order, rather than pre-bagged. We pride ourselves in getting your order out of our facility to the carrier within 48 hours of being placed with shipping times varying from 1-5 business days.
*We are closed Mon & Tues! All orders placed after 2pm Sundays will not be fulfilled/shipping until we reopen Wednesday!
Missing/Broken Items:
We know things happen sometimes so DON'T PANIC!When your order arrives, please inspect the carton for any damage that may have occurred during shipment. It is normal for the shipping carton to show some wear, however, if damage occurred to any item(s) or something is missing in your shipment, please contact us immediately at info@steelcitysalt.com
Let us know the order number along with your email address and phone number for fastest service. To assure prompt resolution, please retain the shipping box, packing materials and the damaged items for inspection by the carrier. Also take pictures. Without pictures we will not be able to help resolve your order issue.
INCORRECT ADDRESS, NON-DELIVERABLE & REFUSED SHIPMENTS
Orders that have been returned to us will be handled in a timely manner by our customer service department. If we have made an error, we will re-send the shipment to the correct address immediately at no cost to you. If the customer has made the address error, the customer will need to pay the cost of reshipping at a rate of $6.95 per box.
Lost/Missing Packages:
PLEASE NOTE: If your order tracking shows your order was delivered, but you didn't receive it, please check around your home or business to make sure the package isn't hidden from view. Also please check with neighbors if they might have received your package by mistake. If you still need help after a thorough check, please contact us with your tracking info.
We will do our best to create a missing package report with USPS/UPS, but please note:Steel City Salt Company is NOT responsible for lost, stolen, and/or missing orders once marked delivered to the correct address by shipping company.
