  • Free shipping $65+ (domestic). Under that? Just $7.95 flat rate.
  • Where we ship: All U.S. states + territories, plus international (duties/taxes not included).
  • Damaged/missing items: Email us with pics + order # and we’ll fix it fast.
  • Lost/stolen packages: Carriers geotag deliveries. Please check with your local carrier/post office. Once marked β€œdelivered,” we can’t cover replacements.

Full Shipping Policy

At this time, Steel City Salt Company ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally, Steel City Salt Company ships merchandise to Canada, Mexico, and other international locations for a separate shipping fee. This fee does not include VAT, duties, imports, or taxes. International orders are not eligible for free shipping. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered online passes to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.


Free Shipping

We have a very low free shipping threshold of $65 for all U.S. orders. Under that amount we offer a discounted flat-rate shipping cost of $7.95 (much lower than our actual cost to ship).

With the huge increase in shipping costs across the board, we’ve kept our product prices the same (no price increases in 8 years!) and continue to keep shipping as low as possible.


Shipping & Processing Times

From start to finish, your order is processed, filled, and shipped by human beings! For maximum freshness, all of our products are hand-poured and filled to order, not pre-bagged.

  • Orders usually leave our shop within 48 hours of being placed.
  • Shipping times vary from 1–5 business days depending on location.
  • We are closed Mon & Tues! Orders placed after 2pm Sunday won’t ship until Wednesday.

Missing or Broken Items

We know things happen sometimes, so DON’T PANIC!
If your order arrives damaged or something is missing:

  1. Please email info@steelcitysalt.com right away.
  2. Include your order number, email, phone number, and photos of the damage/missing items.
  3. Keep the box, packing materials, and damaged goods for carrier inspection.

⚠️ Without photos, we won’t be able to process a replacement/refund.


Incorrect Address, Non-Deliverable & Refused Shipments

  • If we made the error: we’ll reship to the correct address immediately at no cost.
  • If the customer made the error: the order can be reshipped for $7.95 per box, or refunded less $7.95 shipping.

Lost or Missing Packages

If tracking shows your package as β€œdelivered” but you don’t see it:

  • Check around your property (sometimes carriers hide packages).
  • Check with neighbors or your building manager.
  • Carriers now geotag deliveries β€” contact your local post office or UPS office with your tracking number for exact location details.
  • If you still need help, contact us with your tracking info and we’ll open a missing package report with the carrier.
