Where We Ship
At this time, Steel City Salt Company ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
We also ship to Canada, Mexico, and select international locations for a separate shipping fee. International shipping fees do not include VAT, duties, import fees, or taxes. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. International orders are not eligible for free shipping.
Risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered online pass to the customer once the order is delivered to the shipping carrier.
Free Shipping & Flat-Rate Shipping
We offer free shipping on all domestic orders over $65.
For domestic orders under $65, we offer a highly discounted flat-rate shipping fee of $7.95, which is significantly lower than our actual shipping costs.
Due to the substantial increase in carrier shipping rates across the board, we have worked hard to keep shipping charges as low as possible. Our product prices have not been raised in over 8 years.
Please note: flat-rate and free-shipping promotions apply to the original shipment only.
Order Processing & Shipping Times
From start to finish, your order is processed, filled, and shipped by real human beings.
For the highest quality and freshness, all of our products are hand-poured and filled to order rather than pre-bagged. Orders typically leave our facility within 48 hours of being placed, with carrier transit times varying between 1–5 business days depending on location.
Please note:
We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
All orders placed after 2pm on Sundays will not be fulfilled or shipped until we reopen on Wednesday.
Incorrect or Undeliverable Addresses (Returned to Sender)
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. Once an order has shipped, we are unable to make changes.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address provided by the customer:
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable, including orders that qualified for free shipping
• The customer may choose to have the order reshipped once the actual reshipping cost is paid
• Or, the order may be refunded for the product total minus the actual shipping costs incurred.
Flat-rate and free-shipping promotions do not apply to reshipments.
Missing or Broken ItemsWe know things happen sometimes — don’t panic!
When your order arrives, please inspect the shipping carton for any damage. It’s normal for the outer box to show some wear; however, if any items are damaged or missing, please contact us as soon as possible at info@steelcitysalt.com.
For fastest service, please include:
• Your order number
• Email address
• Phone number
To help us resolve the issue quickly, please retain the shipping box, packing materials, and damaged items for inspection by the carrier, and include photos in your message. Without photos, we are unable to resolve shipping damage claims.
Lost or Missing Packages
If your tracking information shows your order as delivered but you did not receive it, please check around your home or business to ensure the package was not left in a secure or hidden location.
We also recommend checking with neighbors in case it was delivered to them by mistake.
If you are still unable to locate your package after a thorough check, please contact the shipping carrier directly using your tracking information.
Steel City Salt Company is not responsible for lost, stolen, or missing packages once they are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier.
